I just got the coroner's report and inquest from her father's death (came in the mail today), and he was, in fact, beaten to death with a piece of wood by someone known as the "Gypsy Horse Doctor," so I guess there WAS some truth to the family story about him being killed by a gypsy over a horse deal gone bad. Now, I'll have to try to find the sheriff's report of the incident to find out exactly what happened. Judith,

It is enjoyable.My Faunt(Fant) family like your Dillons were Norman (L'enfant) and up until the time they emigrated to NJ( 1869) they married almost exclusively within their "group".
